The DECrypt Cryptography and Data Security Research Group consists of researchers, PhD and MSc students, and is based at the Faculty of Informatics, University of Debrecen. As a research group, DECrypt focuses on researching and solving complex security problems in IoT ecosystems, vehicle-to-vehicle communication and cloud services. Its main research focus is on the design, analysis and development of cryptographic protocols for distributed systems using state-of-the-art technologies such as blockchain technology.

The Coalition held its inaugural meeting on 08.03.2022, during which 47 organizations joined. The founding members include public sector actors, higher education and scientific institutions, professional organizations and market players.
